Vehicle Qualification Services

Technically qualified vehicles must provide the following for pick-up and replacement.

  1. Filling out the service request form
  2. Attaching the vehicle inspection result certificate
  3. Attaching the renewed business license (code 1 and code 3).
  4. Attaching it from financial statements (code 1 and code 3).
  5. 3rd party/insurance/renewed attachment
  6. Road fund from Posta house renewed attachment

Applicants who want to get the service of transferring a vehicle file to another region must meet the following requirements

Applicants who want to change their license plate and take the qualification certificate, the following They must meet

  1. Filling out the service request form
  2. Attach a copy of the vehicle owner’s ID

To obtain a new license and renewal service for customers who wish to provide garage services, applicants must provide the following:

The following requirements must be met in order to be represented by a vehicle inspection agency:

  1. Filling out the service request form
  2. Submitting the original and 1 copy of the manager/owner/renewed receipt ID
  3. Attach the original and 1 copy of the certificate of qualification of the institution
  4. Attach the original and 1 copy of the owner’s map or the house rental contract approved by the party authorized to negotiate the contract.
  5. Enclose the original and 1 copy of modern diagnostic equipment registered in the name of the institution/owner
  6. Submit the original and 1 copy of the professional qualification certificate
  7. Amount of payment
    1. 5000 Birr when taking it for the first time

Vehicle import companies/individuals must fulfill to obtain and renew their license

  1. Filling out the service request form
  2. Agent from the manufacturer company only for importers importing new vehicles 
  3. Attach Letter of Authorization
  4. Only for importers importing a new vehicle from the manufacturing company  
  5. Attaching a Chamberized certificate
  6. If the information obtained in turn 1 and 2 is outside of Ethiopia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of Ethiopia 
  7. Attaching the document of authentication
  8. Only for importers importing a new vehicle, the vehicle must be no more than 2 years old 
  9. The vehicle that the importer claims to provide must be free from the country’s climate and topography as well as environmental pollution free.
  10. Obligation to provide sufficient and reliable spare parts for the vehicle
  11. According to the requirements set by the authority, the workshop facility and human resources should be in sufficient condition.
  12. Providing proof of the availability of sufficient vehicle parking and work space according to the requirements issued by the authority
  13. Original brochures and technical specification written in English

Driver Qualification Services

Applicants applying for renewal of existing/former/driver’s license must meet the following requirements

  1. Filling out the service request form
  2. Attaching evidence of eye treatment
  3. Attaching the blood type
  4. 3 x 4 Attach a photo
  5. Amount of payment assigned to the service 680 Rs

What must be met to write an international letter for a driver’s license

To convert a foreign driver’s license into a domestic equivalent

  1. Filling out the service request form
  2. Attaching a letter from the Foreign Ministry confirming its authenticity
  3. Attach the verification of documents
  4. Translation if other than English 
  5. Appearing in person with the driver’s license 
  6. Amount of payment assigned to the service  680 Birr
